Blackjack
Blackjack is one of the easiest casinos games to
both play and learn that you will find either online or in a land
based casino. The object is simply to get exactly or as close to 21
as possible, without going over that magic number. This is basically
the only rule, with a few exceptions as you play different
variations of the game, but those will be explained by the game
specific rules in whichever casino in which you choose to play.
If you have a strong strategy to build from, this can be a
very profitable game. The first thing that you need to establish is
when you will hit and when you will stand on a particular hand. The
majority of this decision is based on what the dealer is showing,
the rest is on what your hand shows. Also, knowing the point at
which the dealer is forced to hit helps with this decision. As a
rule of thumb, if you have anywhere between 17 and 21, regardless of
what the dealer’s up card is, you should stand, because odds are
that you will win . Another thing to keep in mind is that if your
hand is from 13 to 16 and the dealer is showing a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6,
you should stand; however, if the dealer has anything other than
those numbers showing, you should hit. When you have a 12, you
should always hit unless the dealer is showing a 4, 5 or 6. Finally,
if your hand equals anything less than 12, you should always hit
because there isn’t much of a chance that you will win with numbers
that low. The next thing that you need to know to be able to
develop your strategy, is the different types of hands that you can
get. Any hand with an Ace in it (other than Blackjack) is called a
“Soft Hand” and is played much differently than other hands. When
you have an Ace and anything from an 8 up, you should Stand. If you
have an Ace and a 7, and the dealer has a 9 or above, you should
hit, otherwise, with an A7, always stand. And finally, with an Ace
and anything from a 2 to a 6, you should always hit These tips
will help you to be well on your way to becoming a much better
Blackjack player, these as well as experience can lead to great
things for your game.
There are several tips for playing Blackjack that are
available from all kinds of sources, and some of them have been
assembled in this article in order to help you find what you need to
know before you jump into a game of Blackjack. One of the most
useful tips is that you should not take the insurance option, as
most of the time, it is not worth the extra money that has to be put
up, and you will generally end up losing more money than you save.
Also, you should never split a pair of tens, as odds are, you aren’t
going to get a better hand, and in most games, even if you do happen
to get an ace, its not counted as a Blackjack. However, you should
ALWAYS split if you have a pair of Aces or a pair of Eights,
regardless of what the dealer is showing. There are three general
tips for Doubling Down: 1) You should double down if your hand
equals nine only when Dealer is showing a 3, 4, 5, or 6. 2.) If your
hand equals 10 double down unless the Dealer is showing an Ace or a
Ten. 3.) If you have an 11, always double down, unless the Dealer is
showing an Ace. Another great bit of information is knowing when to
stand and when to hit. Whenever the dealer is showing a 7 or lower,
and you have a 17 or Higher, you should always stand. Also, if the
dealer has a 6 or less showing and you have a hard 13 to a hard 16,
you should always stand, but if the dealer has a 7 or higher, you
should always hit. You should always hit on a hard 12 unless the
dealer has a 4, 5 or 6. Keeping all of this in mind, the best tip
that anyone can offer is to HAVE FUN!
