Craps
To begin
with, you should know the basics of playing the game of Craps. This
game is played with a set of six sided die that are thrown on a
Craps Table. The die are passed between players in a clockwise
motion in turn, in order to give each player a chance to be the
shooter if they so wish. The die are thrown from one end of the
table and must hit the back wall of the table in order for the throw
to count; this helps to insure that the die aren’t loaded and that
the shooter isn’t otherwise cheating. The results of each throw of
the die determines the payoffs (as can be seen in any payout table
for the game).
One of the best strategies that we have
found, since there really isn’t a way to influence or predict the
outcome of the game, is to first, try to use the bets that pay out
the most. These “safe” bets include the Pass, Don’t Pass, Come and
Don’t Come bets. All of these bets have the lowest of the game’s
house edges, thereby giving you, the player better odds. The house
edge for Pass bets, for example are about 1.41% and the Don’t Pass
bets stand at around 1.40%, these are considerably better when you
consider that the following house edge information:
Field
Bets - 5.6% Big 6 and Big 8 - 9.1% Horn - 12.5% Craps
2/Craps 12 - 13.9% Any 7 - 16.7%
Now that the best bets
have been established, the second part of the strategy should be
explained. After you choose which of the above bets you will go
with, it is suggested that you start out with a base bet, of say $5.
The object of this strategy is that with each win, you increase your
bet by the original bet, in this case $5. This way, if you have won
3 rounds in a row, you are ahead and betting $15 at this point. If
you happen to start losing, with each loss, you would subtract $5
from your current bet. Using this method, you should make sure to
give yourself a limit at which you would start over at your base
bet. You should base this amount by the size of your bankroll. For
example, if you are playing with $1,000.00, you might set a limit
for yourself of $50 per bet. What that means is that once you reach
that $50 mark, you would start over at your original $5 per round
bet.
Ever since Craps has become more
popular online, there has been several great tips emerge that help
you to improve your online Craps game. If employed correctly, these
tips will help you to develop good practices and to improve your
overall skills in the game. The first thing that we would like to
offer is called using the 5 Count system. This is a tip that will
help you to pick a better shooter to bet on by showing you how to
weed out the weaker shooters. To use this system, every time that
there is a new shooter, you simply “count” their roll. To begin, if
they throw a point, you count that as Count 1. The subsequent 3
rolls, no matter what their outcome is, are Counts 2, 3 and 4. The
most important factor of this tip is Count 5. The only way for the
shooter to reach Count 5 is to throw point again. If they do this,
that particular shooter is considered “hot” and it is recommended
that you begin betting on this shooter. If the current shooter does
not reach Count 5, it is a good idea to wait for the next shooter
and begin the Count again.
One more tip that we would like
to offer is known as “Anything But 7”. This tip suggests that once
point has been established, that you place two chips on the 5, 6 and
8 areas and one chip on “Field” area. It is also suggested, that
because of the higher bets involved with this tip, you should clear
your wagers after three rolls, unless, of course, you are on a
winning streak.
